Giant 'Sea Monster' Washes Up On Australian Beach

You probably already know that Australia is known for its terrifying creatures.
It’s almost as if Australia is trying to kill all Australians, really. They have pythons eating everything, flying foxes and all kind of bizarre creatures.
However, nothing as bizarre and scary as this unknown creature that was washed up on an Australian beach. With a body like a crocodile and a head like a weird-looking dolphin, it scared the heck out of father Ethan Tipper when the man stumbled across it at Lake Macquarie in New South Wales.
Since nobody has a clear idea of what the creature might be like, the photo has split opinion on social media with some suggesting it could be a large hairtail cutlass fish, while others believe it was the result of bad photoshop.
However, Australian Museum fish collector Mark McGrouther has his own idea of what the creature is. He believes it’s a deceptively large pike eel.

‘I suspect it was caught and discarded by fisherman who got more than they bargained for when they tried to reel it in’, Mark McGrouther said.
He also clarified that the pike eels can grow up to 6ft in length and , in this case, the picture may have made it appear larger than it is.

Unless of course it’s not an pike eel, and it’s in fact a new animal that no one knew of its existence. But hey, what do we know?
